1.1 Biography

Associate Professor Dr.Sudniran  Phectcarat graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering in 1997 from Suranaree University of Technology.  He continued his studies and received his master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kasetsart University in 2001.  Assistant Professor Dr. Phectcarat went on to study Remote Sensing and GIS at the Asian Institute of Technology and received his Ph.D. in 2003.

Some of his researches include, The Evaluation of Energy Saving for Home Design and Constructions  Materials, Community Public Area and Facilities Planning for Older People Standards, Impact Assessment from Traffic Increase Due to the Government’s “First Car” Policy And Analysis of the Factors That Influences the Population’s Decision on Selection of the Mode of Travel, Analysis of Factors Relates to Traffic Behaviors on Driving in Reverse Traffic Direction, Development of GIS to Assess the Condition of Flexible Pavement on the Affected of Traffic, The Contractor Selection Process in Order to Prevent Abandonment of the Construction Work in the Public Sector and many others.

2.4 Research Statement 

Researches should be relevant and are used as part of the course.  The students should participate in the research work to develop their hands-on skills in the subject as well as their own research skills.  Through this method, students can systematically develop their analysis skills, work planning skills, group work skills and begin to learn how to contact and collaborate with outside agencies.
