Dr.Pradthana PRACHANURAK earned her bachelor degree (B.Eng.) in mining engineering from Chiangmai University in 2002. In 2006, she hold her master degree (M.Eng.) in environmental engineering from Chiangmai University. After she completed of her M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering, she was an Environmental Engineer at the Energy and Environmental Engineering Center, Kasetsart University till 2008. After that, she entered the doctoral program at Kasetsart University under project supported by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). She received her D.Eng. in Environmental Engineering in 2017. In her doctoral research, Dr.Pradthana focused on the Mathematical modeling of Biological treatment and Biofilm formation. During her doctoral studies, Dr.Pradthana joined the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Srinakharinwirot University, as a Lecturer.

Her main research interests include Biotechnology in wastewater treatment  (e.g. photosynthetic bacteria in wastewater treatment), Bioremediation Technology,  Mathematical modeling of Biological process, Biofilm formation, Bioenergy and Air pollution. The recent research projects focus on suspended particles (PM10) and heavy metal concentrations of dust caused by traffic in vicinity of Ongkharak market, Toxic compound in leachate treatment, Optimization of the biogas production parameters in two-stage anaerobic digester process. Moreover, outside of academia, she has acted as an environmental consultant for environmental impact on health project and a consultant for both the private and public sectors in urban design (public utility, and public assistance) and environmental management fields.
